Our Direct Primary Care practice is a subscription based model that charges a reasonable monthly fee to provide our patients with same day appointments.
Traditional primary care enrolls an average of 1,250 to 1,500 patients to each medical provider. Valor Direct Primary Care will only enroll half that amount! Our 2 medical providers, Dr.

Our 2 medical providers, Dr. Heerema and PA McGarvey will share that limited number of patients. This allows us to offer our full attention and time to each of our members.
We use the term "direct" primary care because insurance is not involved. The algorithms, restrictions, and bureaucracy of insurance are avoided.
There is NO co-pay or payment contract with Valor Direct Primary Care membership.

Valor Direct Primary Care will focus on your primary and urgent care needs. Our members don't have to wait weeks to see their providers. They enjoy same day appointments and/or next business day appointments. Our providers have extensive experience caring for patients in clinical settings, executive medicine, and even in austere environments.

Valor Direct Primary Care membership gives you referrals/access to specialists. These include local laboratories and imaging centers.
You choose if you would like to use your insurance for the specialist, imaging, labs, OR if you want to use our cash prices.

Dr. Heerema and PA McGarvey spend significantly more time with our patients because both providers keep their empanelments capped at a small number. This also allows Valor Direct Primary Care to offer same day appointments or next business day appointments for our members.

Dr. Heerema retired from the United States Air Force after serving 30 years. He graduated from the Air Force Academy as a nuclear physicist before attending medical school. Dr. Heerema also holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Harvard University.

Mr. McGarvey retired from the United States Air Force after serving 25 years. He has been a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant since 2009. He was also a member of the White House Medical Unit for two separate administrations.
